Summer

I've been horrible this year at keeping our blog updated.

July:

In July we celebrated Avanti's birthday again! She had three birthday celebrations. A party at stough canyon, a princess day at Disneyland and a cake and piñata at home the day of.

August:

I had a birthday. I did my birthday party at my favorite spot... the Hollywood Way. My friend Sasha made the cupcakes, owl cake pops and cookies. I had a great turn out and had a smile on my face the whole night. The next day I was not the greatest but it was worth it. Thanks to Jimmy I had a great birthday. I had all the treats I wanted the night of and the kids and him got me some really cute cards and gifts. I got my iPad 2 with all the accessories, a gift card for my Disney cell phone case and a few Wii games that I wanted.

Went to Disney a couple (a lot) this summer.

Avanti started second grade! On August 15th Avanti started 2nd grade! Can you believe it. Already 7. I love her teacher and am sure she will have a great year.

September:

Both Avanti and Kennedy started classed thru parks and rec. Kennedy is taking preschool fun and a toddler gym class and Avanti is taking Yoga.

Avanti auditioned for Nutcracker and got a part, she is an ange in the production this year.

We went to Disneyland with Jennifer, Kaylin and Ben and had a great time. At the end of the day Avanti was running out of a ride, tripped, fell and chipped her front tooth! Ruined my day! luckily, the xrays showed that nothing was damaged or moved. It was all ok but very scary.

The kids made their own pizzas for dinner and they were really good.

A lot has changed since the last time I logged on. Last time I was on here we were still suppose to move to Sacramento. Well we found a beautiful house and placed a bid on it :) and two days later we found out that the military had no money for Jimmy. They couldnt have him up in Sac until the new mission dropped and thats been dropping since 2009! Long story short we are staying in Burbank.

The last few months we......

April- We skipped the Sacramento trip and Jimmy went with his brother. We had the Burbank on Parade and Avanti had her ballet test to move up a level. She passed her ABT test with high honors! She got a 97/100 points, we are so proud of her!! I also received an honorary service award from PTA at the castaways. It was a lot of fun. We had a nice trip to Vegas with the kids too.

May- We skipped the trip to Sacramento again and Jimmy went by himself, Avanti and I went to Disneyland's Mothers Day Brunch and it was so much fun. It was really nice to spend the day with Avanti. We took pictures with Cinderella, Tiana, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Daisy and Donald, and Clarabelle. Then we made build a bears and came home.

June- We celebrated Avanti's birthday early. We had it on June 12th at the Stough Nature Center. Part two of her bday celebration was on June 22nd at Dineyland. We did the Bibidi Bobidi Boutique and had lunch with the princesses with Kaylin and Jennifer. We also went to Sacramento this month. We stayed off base and went to the Sacramento zoo. On the way home from Sac Kennedy threw up from Fresno to Burbank. Yuck!!

July- Avanti turned 7!

This summer we've pretty much just gone to Disneyland, the aquarium, the zoo, San Juan Capistrano Mission and Zoomars petting zoo, Observatory and just local trips.

February

I have been so busy! February was a crazy month. For Valentines day we got the kids lots of fun things. They got a rhino board game and we went away for the weekend. We went to Sacramento on February 11th thru the 14th. We stayed at Beale AirForce Base and had a really nice 3bd/2bath 2 story house with everything. laundry room, dining room, patio, bbq, nice appliances and tv's. The kids had so much fun. We had to squeeze in so many things in a few days. We met Jimmy's new boss, he's really nice by the way. We went to see some houses, and on Sunday we went to Old Town Sacramento. It was Kennedy's first trip. We hung out at old town, we went to the train museum, saw the boats, and had a nice dinner with the fam. On Monday we came home.
February was also girl scout cookie month. I was cookie chair so that should explain why I wasnt updating our blog.

January

January flew by. Today is January 31st and I can't believe it. This whole month I've been droping off Avanti to school in pj's. I need to wake up earlier and get dressed. Kennedy started a mommy and me class thru parks and rec and we are going on our fourth week and he is doing so much better. Since the first class he would do the activity but he would get up and go play right after. As the weeks have gone by... he is learning how to sit in his chair for a little longer each time which Im really happy with. Avanti continues to do Ballet at the Red Chair and she started talking Yoga thru parks and rec. The Yoga teacher is great, she is so nice and so into the body, and healing and earth. I love it.

We had a three day weekend this month and went to the Zoo, the Observatory and Disneyland. The kids had so much fun. Especially Kennedy... he loves the moon. We were very excited to find out that it's a Small World still had the Christmas Decorations. We weren't able to get on its a Small World in December because the line for the ride was crazy long. So it was a nice treat for the four of us. We were all very happy to see all of the decorations. We went to the zoo almost once a week all month and Kennedy loves running thru and seeing all of the animals. My favorite thing about the zoo is the Kettle Corn.

Jimmy did the winter session at LAVC and only has Fridays off. My mom has helped a lot by watching the kids for the Boosters, PTA and room rep meetings.

Christmas and New Years

This Christmas came and went so fast. Half of Avanti's Christmas break we spent indoors because of the rain and the other half we did fun stuff. We went to Chuck E. Cheese on Monday because Avanti had received student of the month on friday, dec. 17th. I went shopping one night with Terri and didnt buy anything. But we had a good convo so it was worth it. For Christmas eve we went to Jimmy's parents for the first time in months and then came home and went to Juan's house for a few hours. By 11 we were home in bed. Well, I had to prep for Santa so I stayed up. Christmas morning the kids were so excited. "wake up its Christmas" so cute. The kids were so excited about all their gifts. Avanti received 2 Rapunzel dolls a baby one and a signing one, some books, pj's, a helmet, a bike, clothes, little knick knack toys in her stocking, operation, and Kennedy received a trike, a helmet, a buzz couch, a buzz doll, a dancing dog, a Cars set, clothes, pj's, and a stocking full of knick knack toys. They were so excited. On Christmas day we hung out, Avanti went to church with my parents and when she got home we went to see Juan. At night, Jimmy and I actually got to go to a movie the two of us since forever! We saw Little Fockers. A great movie. And Sunday, we celebrated Kennedy's birthday. Critter bfast at Grand California Hotel at Disneyland with my parents, bro and us. And then Disney, the California Science Center and home.

The week of New Years, we went to Balboa Lake with the Whitney's to feed the ducks. The kids had so much fun. On Wednesday we hung out and Thursday I got a hair cut and took my mom to the mall. Friday I had a nail appointment and Adela, Armando, Yuri and Chicol got here from up north. We had a small party at our house. Jimmy smoked pork loin, sasauge, and ham. My mom made mashed patatoes, pasta, salad. Great Dinner. (thank you) and we spent the rest of the night around the bon fire. Played a little wii and on New Years Day we went to Pelon's house for bfast and then to Oceanside to pick up Yuri's truck followed by a nice bbq at my parents and a dance off between all of us with the Wii Just Dance. So much fun. Tomorrow, my parents are making menudo and we are going to Hollywood to show them around.

Sunday was so much fun. We took the metro to Hollywood and Highland and went to Ripley's believe it or not, Guiness World Records, and the Wax Museum followed by lunch at CPK. It was lots of fun.
