Our new member of the family

Christmas came a couple of days early for us this year. Our baby boy was born on December 22, 2008. He was about a month early. He is 5 lbs 8 oz and 17 inches. If I would have gone full term he would have easily been a 9 lb baby (ouch). He's such a cutey. I will post pictures soon.

Baby Shower

We had our baby shower last weekend and it was really nice to get together with the close family and share this special time with them. When I was pregnant with Avanti nobody knew until she was born or right before. With this pregnancy its been out in the open since day one and i feel relaxed and happy. We are having a little boy and hopefully moving before his arrival.

Pregnancy Pictures

This week we went and took Pregnancy Pictures. I decided I wanted Avanti in the pictures too because I wanted to make it more of a family prego pix rather than my by myself showing my bare stomach. I came out ok, Avanti and Jimmy came out really good. Im going to use these pictures for my baby shower next week.

I was looking through winkflash and I have so many pictures that bring back good memories. I only included a few but its always nice to look back. Time goes by so fast. I cant believe its been over 7 years since we graduated from high school. thats crazy!!

My Birthday

I turned 25 this summer and I cant believe how fast time is going by. I graduated from High School back in 2001 and its now 2008!!! I cant believe its already been 7 years. For my birthday this year we celebrated the whole weekend. On Friday, we had dinner with Jimmy's co-workers at BJ's- on Saturday my parents had a dinner at the house with close family and on Sunday we went to Gauchos for Brazilian. All I really wanted was to go out for Brazilian but everyone else had other plans. I had a fun weekend and loved the food. I gained 5 lbs that month.

Disneyland

This year we’ve been to Disneyland 5 times so far. We’ve had so much fun and we finally convinced my parents to go with us. Avanti loves Mickey’s clubhouse so it’s nice to sit and watch the show over at California adventure. Avanti is tall enough to do almost every ride at the parks so this summer she got on splash mountain twice and on the water ride that goes through the water falls I think its rowing rapids or something. Our favorite play is Aladdin over at California Adventure and of course, Avanti’s favorite is the princess activities over at Disneyland. She loves dancing with the princesses and doing cute activities. We’re going again for Halloween. We started that tradition last year and we’re going to be doing it every year. I thought since I was pregnant I wouldn’t be able to be there all day and it’s actually ok. I enjoy the walking and I can still get on most of the rides.

I've been really bad at posting events to this blog. Time goes by so fast. Well I got Avanti's birthday pictures done back in August and I'm just now putting them up. She's now 4 and in preschool. She is still taking dance at the Red Chair School and now she is also taking an ABC through Art class here in Burbank.

Avanti's Birthday Party

Well this year Avanti had a few little birthday events. She turned 4 on July 5th. We had a small birthday party at her daycare, we went to the Disney Store Ice Cream Store in Hollywood, and had a small family get together at a local park. We had lots of fun but boy was I tired by the end of the day.

Jimmy comes home today!

Jimmy comes home today after being gone 3 weeks. He volunteered to help with the fires up in Northern California. I was so excited to see him today, don't get me wrong I still am but Im upset. Just a few minutes ago he got a phone call that they are letting him come home for today and he has to leave tomorrow for 30 days! It's either he leaves tomorrow to do the same thing he's been doing for the last couple of weeks, or they will force him to go sometime this week and he will be physically fighting the fires. So he is leaving tomorrow AGAIN. He's gonna miss my doctors appointment with our new baby, he's gonna miss my birthday, and he's missing out on family time. I know it tears him up too because he doesnt really have a choice. So I get to see him today and tomorrow back to the same old-- Jimmy's a Sargeant in the Air Force and being the military does have its perks but natural disasters, war etc. are not one of them. Im sad because I havent seen him and he's already leaving. I miss him already.
