National Family Night

I know Im going out of order but this is from August 4th. We went to an annual community event at Birmingham High School. Jimmy got 3 awards. One from the Mayor, and two from Sacramento for his involvement with Operations Iraqi Freedom. We had fun, ate hotdogs, made necklaces, and hung out with some friends. My favorite part of the night was when we got to go into a fire engine and take pictures. Congratulations Jimmy!!

Travel Town

On Tuesday, 8-18-09, we wento to travel town here in Griffith Park with Stephanie and the kids. We saw the old trains and the kids had so much fun inside the childrens museum and on the train ride. Stephanie and I caught up on the scoop and then we came home and ate cheesecake. It was a perfect day. :)

Avanti's 1st day of School

How exciting! Avanti started Kinder on Monday at Providencia. She's going to the same elementary that I went to when I was her age. She goes for a couple of hours a day and so far she likes it. The one thing that she does not like is waking up in the morning. She's not a morning person. She didnt cry either. My little girl is growing up so fast and I know that its going to go even faster from now on. We're proud of our little one. Congrats Avanti!

Splish Splash

We finally went swiming with Stephanie. 4th of July weekend we went over to Stephanie's house and went swiming... Avanti and Kennedy had lots of fun. Kennedy and I didnt get in the water, we just hung out by the pool. Jimmy and Avanti were in the water with Hudson and Clarke. After a few hours by the pool we had wings from Wingstop. There fries are the best!! Its nice to hang out with firends.

Avanti's Princess Party

We celebrated Avanti's Birthday at Mc Cambridge Park this year. We had some friends and family join us for a great princess party. Our Princess Avanti was of course, the guest of honor. Each girl received a pretty head band and a tutu when they arrived and the boys got gold crowns and inflatable swords. We had Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty join us in the fun and the kids were amazed. The kids played several games like musical hoola hoops, hide n seek, face painting, magic show, balloon animals, stories, parachute and much more. Avanti said her favorite party was when the princess's came. It was a lot of work but so worth it. We were at the park til 9pm that day. I was sooooo tired. Avanti got what she wanted for her birthday lots of dolls and dresses. Thanks to everyone who joined us!

Avanti's Birthday Party

Avanti turned 5 on July 5th. She had two birthday parties one at school and one with the family. The one at school was just pizza and I made cupcakes and the one with the family was a big one. The family party was at Mc Cambride Park and we had Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The girls got pretty headbands with a flower and a tutu. the boys got crowns and inflatable swords. Cinderella and Sleeping beauty played several different games, balloon animals, face painting, and helped with the pinata. Avanti had such a great time. We were at the park until 9pm. I was so tired!!! Avanti said her favorite part of the party was Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. She had the greatest time. Happy Birthday Avanti!

Avanti's Graduation

In a previous post I mentioned that Avanti graduated preschool on june 24th. I felt like such a proud mom. When the graduation march started to play and I saw her walk down in her cap and gown I got teary. I couldnt believe that my babt girl was graduating PreK! Gosh, how time flies. I remember when I had her and now she's a preschooler. After the grad we went to Benihanas and Avanti loved it. Her favorite was the onion volcano. We're so proud of you Avanti!
